Carib Travel has for years been committed to serving as good world citizens, long before Corporate Social Responsibility became the business buzzwords of the decade. In fact, the very nature of our island of St. Lucia has shaped our company’s approach to sustainability, particularly as our most precious landmark, The Pitons, stand today as a World Heritage Site.
The concept of Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) is based upon the belief that as a company we can only achieve a sustainable and profitable future by accepting responsibility to the environment, our community, our clients, suppliers and employees. It goes far beyond philanthropy. This is a belief that we strongly support, particularly as our business of travel and tourism is one where the positive benefits of employment opportunities and economic growth can be negated by the impact of social and environmental degradation. Carib Travel has integrated corporate responsibility into every aspect of our business culture. For example, in using technology we are reducing printed travel documentation, and in developing corporate travel policies for clients, helping their employees to make travel choices consistent with the company’s CSR commitment.
Carib Travel’s CSR Commitment:
- Fostering the development and well-being of our employees and their families. - Helping the communities in which we live and work to grow stronger. - Assisting clients in their own search for a socially responsible cause. - Protecting and supporting a sustainable environment. |
